Example: iPhone 16e
- 2-Year Contract: $0.99 upfront, plus $25 extra per month on the plan. After 24 months, that’s $600.99 (plus tax on $0.99).
- Installments (24 months): Plan stays the same. $2.99 x 24 months = $71.76 (plus tax on $599.99 retail price). Most AT&T promotions (and most carrier promotions in general) are tied to installment plans, making this the more cost-effective path for many businesses.
The difference is huge when managing dozens or hundreds of wireless lines.
