When traveling overseas one of the best ways to save money on roaming fees is to buy an unlocked GSM cell phone and use a prepaid sim card from that country that you are visiting. Prepaid cell phone service is sold everywhere overseas in the airport and almost every corner block. The calls are much less expensive and most of the time you have unlimited incoming calls. The last time I went to Trinidad I spent $30 for the sim card and my minutes for the two weeks I was over there. If I had used my regular phone roaming it would of cost me $2 a minute and with all the calls I made my bill would have been in the hundreds for the roaming cost. I unlocked my Blackberry Bold 9000 before I went and used a sim card from Bmobile a local wireless carrier.

An unlocked cell phone can use any sim card from any GSM wireless provider. One of the important things to look for in an unlocked cell phone is the GSM frequency. Some GSM cell phone have one or two frequencies like the Motorola F3. The Motorola F3 is 850/1900 a 2 band phone that would work on any GSM provider in the United States since the U.S. only use two GSM bands 850/1900 it would not be a problem. AT&T uses 850/1900 and T-Mobile uses 1900 GSM networks but countries like Europe and the rest of the world use sometimes the 900 or the 1800 GSM networks.

Now the best phone to have for roaming is the quad band GSM, which is used for global calls where GSM network coverage is present. The Motorola V3 Razr works on these GSM Networks: GSM 850, 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900. The Quad band GSM phone is always the best type of unlocked cell phone for traveling.

The new Blackberry Bold 9700 and all at&t Blackberry devices went on sale a couple of days ago. This sparked a buying frenzy for anyone interrested in getting a Blackberry but it also boosted the export market for the Blackberry Devices.
A few weeks ago I sold my Blackberry Bold 9000 for &250 on Craigslist.org. I got many calls for my Blackberry and I inquired why there were a few guys buying up all the used Blackberry devices for sale. I found out these guys were buying for export to Venezuela. The market for Blackberry devices in South America is huge and the devices cost a lot more there than it cost in the United States. I then checked with some of my friends who are in the cell phone export business and they confirmed that they have orders prepaid for thousands of Blackberry 9700s. Now that the Blackberry devices are less expensive for the next few weeks the market is jumping at this oppertunity and buying up all they can before the price goes back up.

The blackberry 9700 was selling wholesale for $450 now they are selling for $360 wholesale. This leaves a huge mark up for exporters in South America. The Blackberry 9700 sells whole sale in Venezuela for around $600+

Blackberry Bold 9700 Free Wireless Consultant is offering a Free Blackberry 9700 Bold

I deleted the Blackberry App World from my Blackberry Bold because it used up my application memory. My Blackberry Bold would run slow and restart at least twice a day because of the application memory issue. This issue is known by RIM the makers of the Blackberry devices, thats why newer Blackberry models like the Blackberry 8900 have 4 times the application memory as the Blackberry Bold and the Blackberry Storm. When RIM designed these devices they did not consider the Blackberry App Store. But now having the application store online will save the memory on the devices. The new Blackberry Application store web address is appworld.blackberry.com/webstore The web address if you want the Blackberry app store on your device is blackberry.com/appworld downloaded from you Blackberry browser.

The 3G Nokia’s have been stopped from being sold in South Florida by AT&T in any of their retail corporate stores or indirect stores. These 3G Nokia models are shutting off by themselves and rebooting. The problem is not the cell phones but in the South Florida market only it is caused by a network issue on AT&T that only effects these 3G Nokia models. The other non-3G Nokia models are not affected by this network issue.
I was told by AT&T to take down any posters promoting any of the 3G Nokia models until further notice.
I did experience the rebooting on a Nokia E71 myself a few weeks ago. While I was playing around with the phone learning the features and downloading the Skyfire browser for my friend the E71 phone rebooted 3 times on me. My friend who owns the E71 Nokia phone also commented the phone reboots on him at the Dania exit on highway 95 all the time.
<br

I joined this multi level mobile phone company a few months ago in case it was real. I lost $69.99 sign up because it has not been able to produce anything it promised. I even lost my WordPress Blog because I wrote about this multi level company and my experiences with them and I had posted most of the emails I got from Buzzirk or Zero1. I read today an article about Buzzirk and Zero1 that I am copying below from Fierce Wireless. Zer01 Mobile, the MVNE that has been dogged with concerns about its service, said that because of a breach of contract it has cut its business ties with Buzzirk Mobile, which was supposed to distribute the company’s service. Zer01 did not specify in what way the contract had been breached. The company also sought to address questions that have arisen about its business and technology. Recent reports by IDG News Service have raised concerns about the viability of Zer01′s service offering as well as the business practices of marketing firm Global Verge, which owns Buzzirk.”Overall, there were a number of news articles and blogs that mis-reported a lot of the facts about each company and its services,” Zer01 spokesman Ron Dresner said in a statement.Zer01 said the business dealings of Global Verge don’t reflect on Zer01, and that the two companies are separate entities. The company also said ”questions about Zer01 Mobile’s patent-pending technology in the news are totally unfounded and motivated by marketplace competitors. Any visit to the patent office will prove Zer01 Mobile’s VMC technology registration.” Zer01 added that it cannot release information about its business partners, following questions about what carriers will support the company’s VoIP-based technology (neither AT&T Mobility or T-Mobile USA–the country’s two nationwide GSM carriers–are working with Zer01).Finally, Zer01 said it planned to defend its “reputation and integrity,” possibly with legal action.Zer01 has promised a mobile virtual network enabler service that could support unlimited wireless voice and data service via mobile VoIP technology running over an unnamed carrier’s GSM network.

Sent from the Internet (Details) Hi Guys, I hope that everyone is doing well. The last few weeks we have patiently waited for Global Verge and Zer01 to get their acts together and begin distributing what they promised. The 30 days that they asked are up, and with the following two sites publishing valid facts, we have decided to put our efforts elsewhere. We have since cancelled our autoship. We strongly recommend that those of you that have joined the venture do the same. Steve Lewis interim CEO fired:http://www.mlmhelpdesk.com/2009/08/07/breaking-mlm-wireless-news-global-verge-founders-fire-steve-lewis-and-crew-before-they-can-resign/ Zer01 terminated buzzirk and global verge yesterday, and they are suing them: www.dslreports.com/shownews/Zer01-Blames-Partners-Press-For-Problems-103946 <http://www.dslreports.com/ shownews/Zer01-Blames- Partners-Press-For-Problems- 103946> <http://www.dslreports.com/ shownews/Zer01-Blames- Partners-Press-For-Problems- 103946 <http://www.dslreports.com/ shownews/Zer01-Blames- Partners-Press-For-Problems- 103946> > We regret to inform you with this information, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Warmest Regards, Klarita M.The Taha Cellular Team

Most people do not know what an exception upgrade is for at&t mobility. A customer can renew a contract after only completing six months of their 24 month contract and get a new cell phone at a discounted price. An exception upgrade can only be done once a year and the price of the cell phone could be $20 – $50 more than a normal upgrade depending on the cell phone of their choice.Customers with suspends/disconnects within a 12 month period will not be deemed eligible to upgrade, regardless of their time since last upgrade/activation. Customers whose accounts have outstanding balances will also not be deemed eligible to upgrade until their accounts have been brought to current status. An exception upgrade is supposed to be the 2 year contract price + $75. You’re eligible for that exception upgrade as soon as 6 months into your contract (only 1 exception upgrade per every 12 months though)In my at&t store in Weston Florida we have a few cell phone models that are the same upgrade price with an exception upgrade. The Samsung 777 and the Samsung Magnet are 2 o f the models. We only charge $9.99 for the Nokia 2600 and $19.99 for the Sony Ericsson 350 with an exception upgrade. But that will change starting August first.

Yesterday I had a customer come into my store and said he wanted to see the internet web pages like on the Apple 3Gs iPhone. He did not like the at&t browser Media Net. The websites like MSN and Yahoo did not look the way that he was used to seeing on his computer. The at&t Media Net browser displays the web pages in a mobile phone format which is a simplified version of the web page. I took his cell phone and in 3 minutes I had the Bolt browser up and running. This new browser surprised this customer, he was so happy with the browser that he was going to go home and download the browser in all of his family members cell phones. So far I have the Bolt browser on my Blackberry Bold, Blackjack 2 and on my Sprint LG Rumor. I first tried Bolt about a week ago. mobilewiseguy.com/2009/07/31/bolt-new-web-browser-for-blackberry.aspx My first post about Bolt browser Since that day everyone that I showed the browser too and have a Blackberry have commented that the Bolt browser was the best they have ever seen or used on a Blackberry device. I am able to do so much more with my Blackberry with the Bolt browser. I was limited before editing my Blog or website but the Bolt browser allows me to do edits and see pages that I could not do unless I was at a computer. I recommend everyone to try this browser. I will be testing this browser and many others on different cell phones so keep coming back for my updates.
