Verizon Wireless has a data bundle package for simple phones. Simple phones are the phones that are not Smartphones like the Samsung Intensity, LG Octane or any of the flip phones.
The $10 package includes 75 Megabytes of data, Mobile Email, Navagation and Ringback tones.
A great alternative for someone who does not want a Smartphone but wants Email, Web or Navigation and the its not mandatory on these types of phones you can add and remove the feature when you want but this package is a limited promo offer.
If you add it and then later decide to remove the promo package at a later time there is no guarantee that the package would be available at a later time.
The 75 Megabytes data package alone was $10, Navigation $10, Mobile Email $5 and Ringback tones .99 cents that’s almost $26 worth of services for only $10 monthly.

Offer ends August 31

At&t is offering an unlimited prepaid plan for $60 a month. This plan will also give unlimited text after 2 days on the plan.
The details are still vague to me but what I can gather so far is that you must activate your cell phone on the 25 cents flat rate prepaid offer and then you can change it to the $60 a month unlimited nationwide talk. Then after 2 days being on the $60 unlimited prepaid plan, unlimited messaging would be added at no extra cost. Within the 2 days waiting for the unlimited messaging to be activated any text would be charged 20 cents pay per use and 25 cents pay per use for picture messaging.

This will change everything with at&t offering unlimited talk for $60 prepaid, why would you pay $59.99 for 900 minutes post pay with a 2 year contract. Does this mean at&t will be changing their post pay plans? Let see what impact this will have on at&t and the other major wireless providers. I will offer this prepaid plan with and without a cell phone.
Since I first posted about this preplan withat&t I have gotten people emailing me saying they have called at&t and no one knows about this plan. I now know it is only offered in Las Vegas and South Florida. I will sell anyone this prepaid offer and mail the cell phone or sim card to them and we could use Payapl so everyone is protected. For more information on this please contact me.

I could always post from my Blackberry with email with WordPress but with the Godaddy Blog feature and the new Bolt browser I can put html links into the Blogs easy with the Blackberry. I just made one up below for the Samsung Jack. I use the Blackberry browser to copy the image link and the landing page URL for the Samsung Jack. Then I put together to form that link below. What I shall do is create these ads and links from my computer and store them on my notes in Outlook. That way after I sync my Blackberry with Outlook I will have the links on my Blackberry saved in notes so all I have to do when I want to put one in a post is copy and paste.

I downloaded Bolt a web browser for my Blackberry Bold. What I can say so far is great. This is exactly the way you see the web pages on a computer or the iPhone but on a Blackberry. I am able to go to pages that I could not properly see before and the pages download fast. I can also copy and paste into the url something I could not do with Opera Mini. This new browser allows me to do updates with my Blackberry to Facebook ads, Mobilewiseguy Blog and pull up sites in seconds that took me minutes before in the Blackberry or Media Net browser.

I got the Bolt browser for Crackberry.com I know you will thank me just put this URL www.boltbrowser.com/ in you Blackberry or Media Net browser and download the Bolt browser for Blackberry.

I have been waiting for the new Skyfire browser for Blackberry because it let you see video from Hulu, Youtube, CNN news video and a lot more sites. I downloaded Skyfire to my Samsung Blackjack 2 and my LG Incite but after stumbling on Bolt I am happy to say I will be busy doing a lot more with my Blackberry in the next few days especially with my new Blog

Power and Associates Reports: NET10 Ranks Highest in Customer Satisfaction among Non-Contract Wireless UsersWhile Pay-as-You-Go Non-Contract Plans Have Higher Levels of Satisfaction, Non-Contract Monthly Plan Offerings GrowWESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.: 30 July 2009 – Prepaid carrier NET10 ranks highest in overall customer satisfaction among non-contract wireless users, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2009 U.S. Wireless Prepaid Customer Satisfaction Index StudySM released today.NET10, included in the study for the first time this year, achieves a score of 774 on a 1,000-point scale and performs particularly well in three of the six factors that drive overall satisfaction: performance and reliability; cost of service; and account management. Also ranking at or above the industry average in rank order are TracFone, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, Alltel and T-Mobile.”NET10 differentiates itself from other companies by simplifying the wireless experience with straightforward pricing, virtually no roaming charges and robust nationwide network coverage,” said Kirk Parsons, senior director of wireless services at J.D. Power and Associates. “Users find they don’t have to worry about restrictive calling areas and can maintain their account without hassle.”The study finds that product offerings in the prepaid segment have changed dramatically during the past year, with many wireless carriers increasing their offerings of monthly plans-some of which mimic traditional contract plans, while others offer unlimited calling and texting. More than 40 percent of non-contract plans are monthly plans, compared with less than 30 percent in 2008.In addition, overall satisfaction among users of pay-as-you-go plans (756, on average) is considerably higher compared with users of monthly plans (742, on average), driven by satisfaction with the performance and reliability and account management factors. The study also finds several demographic differences that distinguish pay-as-you-go users from users of monthly prepaid service. The average pay-as-you-go user is older, more likely to be retired and has fewer wireless phones in their household. The average monthly prepaid plan user more closely resembles the average contract plan user-desiring a large network, mid-range feature phones and messaging, but without the commitment or penalties of a contract. Two-thirds of monthly plan users report that they have switched service from their former contracted service carrier.”As the non-contract wireless market continues to evolve, users need to be sure to explore all of the alternatives available to them in order to determine the appropriate plan that suits their needs,” said Parsons. “With this increased breadth of options, wireless users can find a plan that optimizes their wireless experience and meets their budget without requiring them to sign a contract.”The study also finds the following key non-contract wireless usage patterns pay-as-you-go users spend an average of $35 for each airtime purchase, a decrease of $5 from 2008.Monthly non-contract users spend an average of $25 less per month than do those with contracts. Monthly non-contract users report spending $56 per month compared with an average monthly service cost of $81 for contract users. Non-contract users report using 320 minutes per month-a notable increase from 233 minutes in 2008. Pay-as-you-go users report using an average of just 145 minutes, while monthly non-contract users report an average of 573 minutes per month. During the past 12 months, 16 percent of non-contract users have switched carriers. More than half (51%) of these users previously had contract service. Switching intent within the next year remains steady at 12 percent, compared with 13 percent in 2008. Among users intending to switch, 24 percent intend to switch to contract service. The 2009 U.S. Wireless Prepaid Customer Satisfaction Index Study, now in its fourth year, measures customer satisfaction with current non-contract wireless service across six key factors. In order of importance, they are: performance and reliability (28%); cost of service (19%); account management (17%); initial activation (15%); offerings and promotions (12%); and customer service (9%). The study is based on responses from 4,229 wireless users who currently subscribe to non-contract service plans. Findings are based on a continuous fielding period between January and June 2009.
www.WirelessConsultant.net

I have this free Godaddy Blog for a while now but I never made use of it because WordPress was suppose to be one of the most known about and easiest to use.
I did not know WordPress would banned me because of affiliate links that I was putting on my Blog. I look for a way to pay WordPress so I could put affiliate links on my Blog but from what I read its not allowed.
This is the second time I had a problem with WordPress. I used to host my site with Yahoo and they offered a Blog that was hosted by WordPress. When I transferred my hosting to Godaddy the Blog that I wrote for over a year was lost. So I started from scratch again using WordPress directly. Who would of guess I would run into another problem. I was getting over 3000 visitors a month reading my posts on my Blog and that’s when I started over the first Blog that was erased by Yahoo was doing even better.
Well Godaddy has been very good to me over the years so I will now upgrade my service and only Blog with Godaddy services.
I am a regular guy with no internet or computer experience but I am a mobile phone guru. I want to do most if not all my Blogs from my mobile phone, like this one now that I am posting from my Blackberry Bold.
Let’s see if I can accomplish what I want with Godaddy.
Today 7/31/09 is the second day I have been playing around with the Godaddy blog features. Take a look at the Blogs I did from my Blackberry,http://mobilewiseguy.com/2009/07/31/bolt-new-web-browser-for-blackberry.aspx I have so much more control and options now because of the easy Godaddy features and the new browser I downloaded today for my Blackberry.

Most people do not know what an exception upgrade is for at&t mobility. A customer can renew a contract after only completing six months of their 24 month contract and get a new cell phone at a discounted price. An exception upgrade can only be done once a year and the price of the cell phone could be $20 – $50 more than a normal upgrade depending on the cell phone of their choice.
Customers with suspends/disconnects within a 12 month period will not be deemed eligible to upgrade, regardless of their time since last upgrade/activation. Customers whose accounts have outstanding balances will also not be deemed eligible to upgrade until their accounts have been brought to current status.Â
An exception upgrade is supposed to be the 2 year contract price + $75. You’re eligible for that exception upgrade as soon as 6 months into your contract (only 1 exception upgrade per every 12 months though)
In my at&t store in Weston Florida we have a few cell phone models that are the same upgrade price with an exception upgrade. The Samsung 777 and the Samsung Magnet are 2 o f the models. We only charge $9.99 for the Nokia 2600 and $19.99 for the Sony Ericsson 350 with an exception upgrade. But that will change starting August first. At&t will subsidize the cell phones a lot less after August 1st 2009.
So if you are on need of an exception upgrade and can do it this month don’t hesitate to give us a call.
954-349-2001 at the at&t store in Weston Florida.

They put a ticket in and said it would take 48 hours. I think I got pawned off.
You would think because I sell the Uverse service and I am a cell phone expert this would have been easy for me.
Today is 7/30/09 I got my Uverse DVR to record using my cell phone to program the time and show and it can easily be done from a computer. I also got the Flickr account to show my pictures on CH91 on Uverse. The problem was they made up another email for me when they hook up my Uvers and that is the email I needed to sign in to my accounts with. Dont ask me why they made that mistake and gave me another email but that was the problem. I could not change the email they made up so I have to remember to log in on my Flickr and Uverse account with that email.

I went there before and now it’s on my AA Rewards Network, so I get frequent flyer miles.
I am going to paste what the rewards network has to say about the resturant because its all true.
The food and the service was good and I will be returning to this resturant.

Rock Beach Grill has locals who live east of I-95 heading west (No lie!) for the sole purpose of dining at this much-ballyhooed eatery. While the place does play host to a lively bar and happy hour, the fresh seafood and sushi are garnering equal attention. Completely smitten, this diner wrote, “…was very pleased with both service and atmosphere. Music was not as loud as you would expect with as cool an atmosphere – soft and relaxing is the best description. Had their 1-1/4 pound daily Maine Lobster special – unreal!!! A WHOLE lobster for $15.95…Tried their frozen Bahama Mama for $3.99 – fantastic!…Again, how can they do it for that amount when everyone else gets $6+? And Rock Beach’s drink is BETTER.” Also won over, a visitor from Atlanta weighed in with this, “We had some great sushi (try the KC ROLL) to start, and the clam chowder was the best I’ve had. I had the Ribs, which were fabulous and super inexpensive. My wife really loved her Snapper Vera Cruz, and Gram loved her Shrimp Pasta. The next night my wife and I went back slightly later and had a great time in the Lounge. They had a wine tasting going on for FREE. Yeah, we tasted a lot, and we ended up hanging out all night…Not what we were expecting at all. I HOPE THEY OPEN ONE IN ATLANTA!!!” So there you have it. The Rock Beach buzz is all about Seafood Pasta, Lobster, Sushi, and their unbelievable $11.95 Rib Special. The Bar & Lounge has a cool vibe. You can socialize or watch the game. And be sure to stop in on Thursdays from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. for a FREE WINE TASTING at the bar.

I just had to transfer contacts from a Verizon Motorola Q to a at&t Sony Ericsson W300. This sounds easy but the Sony had its sim card filled 250 spaces (SIM cards only hold 250 numbers) and they were all filled, the cell phone’s memory had 265 spaces out of 1000 filled. That told me the phone had around 735 spaces open.

Cell phone’s Sim card memory and cell phone memory storage capabilities are different. The main difference is that on the cell phone memory you can add a picture, ringtone and other details to each contact.

So I had to copy the contacts from the Motorola Q and the phone contacts from the Sony Ericsson onto a USB drive. Then open those files on my computer merge the contacts and create a new file with the merge contacts. Now the last thing is to overwrite the existing memory on the Sony Ericsson with the new combined phone book file.
It was a mission but the at&t store at 2242 Weston Road in Weston Florida is the best in the industry.

The Samsung Jack is the replacement for the Samsung Blackjack. I have owned the Blackjack and the Blackjack 2. They are Windows Mobile phones all have 3G speeds and the new Jack also has wifi built in.
The camera and video on the Jack is better than the Blackjack 2. The screen has better resolution not as crisp as my Blackberry Bold but better than before. I took a picture of myself while driving.I set up 2 email addresses on the Jack a pop3 and hotmail both worked great. The jack will allow me to receive larger files than the Blackberry. I sent a email from the jack with a picture, video and a song attachment. I was able to open all 3 when I received the email on the Samsung Jack but the same email on my Blackberry Bold I only was able to open the picture and the mms video but not the song. I got a error message saying it is over the 3MB limit on the Blackberry Bold. The Samsung Jack is a improvement over the Blackjack 2 and I think it is one of the better Windows mobile phones that at&t currently carries. Pros Camera 3.2 megapixel Camera with flash and small size with good 3G speeds on the web. Easy email setup,WiFi, Nice styling. Cons: No 3.5 or 2.5 ear jack, Processor is a little slow, Not as user friendly as a Blackberry.Get the Samsung Jack Free from at&t with new service. www.cellstores.com/r.aspx?Referringdomain=wirelessconsultantnet&p=Samsung+Jack+Silver&c=AT&T

This new iPhone will give all other PDA phones even Blackberry a run for the money. The Apple iPhone is absolutely the most fun cell phone on the market but can they get more business users with the new upgrades? We will see in the next few months if business users will trade in their Blackberry device for the iPhone.

Apple announced a new version of the iPhone, called the iPhone 3GS. Major improvements over the iPhone 3G include a 3 megapixel camera with auto focus and VGA video capture at 30fps, and 7.2Mbps HSDPA. There’s a touch-to-focus feature that allows users to touch the area of the screen that they want the camera to focus. It also has a built-in compass, improved battery life, faster performance, voice commands, and hardware encryption. It will go on sale June 19. The 32GB model will be $299 and the 16GB model will be $199. Apple is also dropping the price of the iPhone 3G to $99 starting immediately. For new and qualifying customers, the iPhone 3GS will cost $199 and $299 for the 16GB and 32GB models, respectively. If you are not currently eligible for an upgrade but still want iPhone 3G S, early upgrade prices are $399 (16G and $499 (32G. No-commitment pricing: $599 (16G and $699 (32G

This cell phone in my opinion sucks. LG could of done a better job on this mobile device. They must of rushed this one to compete with the touch screen craze started by the Apple iPhone. I had a hard time navigating through the device. I don’t like touch screen phones already and the LG incite made me dislike touch screens even more. I had a hard time typing emails or text with the keyboard. This LG incite touch screen operation was unresponsive and slow. The camera is a 3 megapixel but my Blackberry Bold’s 2 megapixel camera took better quality pictures and videos.

I wanted to start using vlingo to write my blog this way I can speak and vlingo will transcribe it into text. The accuracy of Vlingo is not to good to make a blog. Vlingo seems to be good for short texts, emails or notes. The time it takes to edit the mistakes in the wording you might as well typed the blog the whole way through yourself. I will play a little more with it and see if it can be tweaked to be more accurate. This entry below is an unedited Vlingo entry on my task then cut and pasted into this blog entry. (i want this entry to be completely from vlingo i’m speaking broccoli and slowly to see how accurate vlingo will transcribe my voice to text and then i will coffee feast this in to my blog stating this is totally done from the vlingo application)As you can see the accuracy is definitely not the best. I contacted Vlingo about this issue and they replied with below. Thanks for your feedback. We hope in this email to be able to improve the speech recognition performance that you experience with Vlingo.Speech recognition Vlingo uses highly advanced speech recognition technology to deliver the best accuracy possible. As with humans, it will sometimes misunderstand what you say. The answers to the following questions provide information about how you can improve the accuracy of the Vlingo speech recognition. What if I am somewhere noisy? If there is a lot of random background noise like street noise, car noise, or background conversation in a loud restaurant, hold the phone closer to your mouth and speak louder. If the background noise is distinct conversation such as a nearby radio or someone talking near you, Vlingo may have more difficulty distinguishing your words from theirs. Turn down the radio or move a bit further away from the other conversation. If you are in a very quiet environment, you can speak more softly. A good rule of thumb is to adjust your voice as you would for someone sitting next to you to be able to hear you clearly and distinctly. How should I hold the phone?Hold it either as you would when you are on a call, or with the phone a few inches in front of your mouth. How loudly should I speak?Start out by speaking as you would to another person. Experiment with speaking somewhat louder or softer. How long should I speak? You may be surprised that it’s easier for Vlingo to recognize several words at a time than to recognize just one or two words. Try varying how much you say, and see what works for you.Any other accuracy suggestions?• Be sure to pronounce words clearly but naturally.• Do not pause between each word.• Begin speaking shortly after the audio tone finishes playing. Release the side key shortly after you are done speaking. Long periods of silence can cause Vlingo to pick up background noise as intended speech. How does Vlingo learn over time?Vlingo gets better the more you use it. It begins to adapt to your voice as quickly as the first few times you speak to it. The learning continues as long as you use the product. It also learns the words, phrases, and sentences you commonly speak. If Vlingo makes a mistake and you correct it, Vlingo will learn to avoid making the same mistake again later. Vlingo also learns from what other users say and uses that knowledge to improve its accuracy for you. What languages does Vlingo understand?Vlingo is currently implemented for English, and is optimized for U.S. (iPhone and BlackBerry) and U.K. (BlackBerry) dialects. Other languages and dialects are in development and will be added over time. We hope this helps you get the most out of Vlingo.Best regards,Vlingo Support

I just received an email news letter on my Bold from Blackberry.
The news letter talked about the new application store coming out for the Blackberry, camera settings, Slacker, social networking and other tips and websites.
I click on one of the links in the email news letter from my Bold and the page would not display half the text. That is a stupid mistake from Blackberry. How could they send me an email that the links don’t work properly on my Bold.

The Bold has one of the most advanced browsers from Blackberry. I would think someone from RIM had tested these emails out before sending them to the thousand of users that signed up for Blackberry news letter.

I have a problem with my Blackberry Bold, the application memory built in gets filled fast. Granted I do use many applications on a daily basis. In the Bold’s defense I never had all these applications on a Blackberry before.
Its my music player, email solution, web access, cellular videos and my personal digital assistant all in one device. I often do multi tasks by playing music from my device while playing a slide show of one of my picture folders or downloading new ringtones while listen to music.
I also watch the cellular videos and download other videos everyday.

Doing all these things will fill the application memory. Before with a Windows mobile device I would just go to the task manager and stop all the tasks that I wanted too. Freeing up the memory needed for it to do more processing.

I know that most Blackberry users know that by taking the battery out of the Blackberry Bold resets the application memory and the phone. But Most people don’t know they can also press alt-shift-delete at the same time and reset the phone and the application memory. That’s the same way you can do it on a computer.
Blackberry know about the problem and fixed it in later Blackberry devices like the new Blackberry 8900 Curve. The Blackberry Curve 8900 has 400 percent more application memory than the Bold.
The Best Cell Phones Deals Online.

CDMA carrier MetroPCS recently revealed that it has chosen LTE as its 4G technology. Although LTE will offer improved data speeds, in a recent conference call the CEO of MetroPCS stressed the capacity improvements of LTE as the primary benefit for the company. Verizon Wireless and Alltel have also announced plans to migrate to LTE, as have many GSM/WCDMA carriers worldwide. UMB, a rival 4G technology designed to replace CDMA, has yet to attract any major carriers.
MetroPCS Unlimited Calling Plans

MetrocPCS announced the addition of the Samsung Messager to its lineup of phones. The Messager is a sideways slider with full QWERTY keyboard. It has a 1.3 megapixel camera, SMS, MMS, email and IM messaging capabilities, Bluetooth and speakerphone. It also has an external micro SD slot that supports cards up to 2GB. Pricing and availability was not immediately provided.
